I wanted to share something that I’ve been excited about lately.
I’ve started serving in a ministry at our church, Watermark. Great Questions is a safe place to inquire and ask the tough questions about the Christian faith, God, and the Bible. It’s designed to provide a place for folks whose questions or doubts are keeping them from a relationship with God.
It is such an important ministry, and I’m so in awe of the volunteers that show up week after week to field these questions. The range of topics is vast: when is the Bible is to be taken literally or figuratively, how do you balance works and faith, what do we do with the evil we see in the world? All questions I’ve had or considered at some point in my Christian life, and that bless me to hear discussed so openly.
It’s fascinating to watch and listen to these questions being answered lovingly and patiently. It is also shocking at times to see what the Enemy uses to create a roadblock in someone’s mind to keep them from the Truth of the Gospel. I’m so encouraged and filled by these discussions. I listen and pray for those who are brave enough to come and ask these questions that they’re struggling with. I’m strengthened by the stance that the church needn’t fear these types of questions, and can faithfully answer them knowing that God is so much bigger than any doubt or roadblock the enemy could throw up.
Sounds like a special place- glad you are involved in it!!♥️
